From Aotearoa New Zealand to Italy. Robert temporarily moved to Lake Como, hunting down master weavers and silk artisans to bring his vision to life. The first ties—nature captured on silk—were stocked in Liberty and Selfridges, worn by men who appreciate craft with soul.

Expanding the Collection

The collection grew to include bow ties, cummerbunds, waistcoats, handkerchiefs, braces, and cufflinks—each showcasing the same vibrant, nature-inspired designs. With every addition, the brand’s dedication to expressive, high-quality accessories deepened.

Silk Belts Debut

Robert partnered with an artisan belt maker to create the first Robert Charles belts, designed with silk inlays to match his range of silk accessories and complete the look. These early belts were a natural extension of the collection, crafted with the same attention to detail.

A Legacy in Leather

Robert Charles expanded his range of accessories with expertly crafted classic leather belts. Handmade in Italy from 100% Italian leather, the belt collection has grown to over 200 styles and become the heart of the brand. Robert Charles belts continue to reflect the same values of artistry, authenticity, and enduring quality as when we first started.

Patchwork Becomes Iconic

Our first Patchwork Belt was introduced—an expressive fusion of hand-cut leather panels in vibrant, ever-changing colourways. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, a wearable mosaic of craftsmanship that has since become a signature of the Robert Charles collection.

The launch of Robert Charles’ first multicolour elastic woven belt marked another step in wearable design.
